Parkevo
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Parkevo Technologies LLC ("Parkevo," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Parkevo mobile application, website, and related services (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
Who We Are
Parkevo provides real-time parking availability. Our technology uses camera infrastructure and computer vision to determine, space by space, whether parking spaces are open or occupied, and presents that information to drivers and to the organizations that operate parking facilities.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information. When you create an account or sign in, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from that provider as permitted by your settings.
- Vehicle and preference information. You may optionally tell us details such as your vehicle type, whether you use electric-vehicle charging, whether you have an accessibility permit, your permit type, and your preferred parking locations. This helps us show you relevant spaces.
- Communications. If you contact us for support, we keep the information you share so we can help you.
Information collected automatically
- Location information. With your permission, we use your device location to show nearby parking, display your position on the lot map, and provide navigation to a space. You control location access through your device settings.
- Usage and device information. We collect basic information about how you use the app and the device you use it on, such as app interactions, device type, operating system, and general diagnostics, so we can operate and improve the Services.
Parking availability data
Our parking-detection technology analyzes camera views of parking areas to determine whether each space is empty or occupied. This produces occupancy information about spaces, not about people.
What our parking technology does not do. Parkevo's parking-detection system processes camera views only to classify parking spaces as open or occupied. It does not perform facial recognition, does not capture or store license plate information, and is not used by Parkevo to identify individual people or to store personally identifiable driver data from cameras. Depending on the deployment, the camera hardware may be owned and operated by the partner facility (for example, the university or airport) or by Parkevo. Where cameras are operated by a facility, they are governed by that facility's own infrastructure and security guidelines, and any recording those cameras perform for the facility's own purposes is governed by that facility's policies, not this policy.
How We Use Information
- To provide the core Services, including showing real-time parking availability and navigation.
- To create and manage your account and preferences.
- To personalize the spaces and information shown to you.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services.
- To communicate with you about the Services, including important notices.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited ways:
- Service providers. We use trusted third parties to host and operate our Services (for example, cloud hosting and infrastructure providers). They may process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services to us.
- Facility operators. Organizations that operate a parking facility receive aggregate parking availability and usage information for their own lots. We do not share your individual account identity with facility operators as part of standard availability reporting.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Parkevo.
- Business transfers. If Parkevo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Third-Party Services
The Services integrate certain third-party features, such as sign-in through Google or Apple and mapping and navigation services. Your use of those features is also governed by the privacy policies of those providers. We encourage you to review them.
When you choose to navigate to a parking space, the Services may hand off to your device's native mapping application, such as Apple Maps or Google Maps. At that point, the handling of your location is governed by that mapping application and its provider's privacy policy, not by this policy.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take steps to delete or de-identify it.
Your Choices and Rights
- Access and update. You can review and update your account and preference information in the app.
- Location. You can enable or disable location access at any time in your device settings. Some features may not work without it.
- Account deletion. You may delete your account at any time from within the app, or by contacting us at the email below. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the personal information associated with it, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to request access to or deletion of it. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
